For businesses

Hire your finance team directly

No accountant in the middle, no headcount on your payroll. Accountforme runs your bookkeeping, payroll and reporting as a complete function — you get clean books, filed on time, and numbers you can actually make decisions on.

Who this is for

Three moments when companies call us

You've outgrown the part-time bookkeeper

It worked at ten invoices a week. At two hundred it doesn't — things get missed, the month-end takes three weeks, and nobody can tell you what margin actually looks like.

You're growing faster than you can hire

New entities, new countries, new payroll. Building a finance team takes six months you don't have, and the first hire is rarely the right one.

Your finance lead is drowning in processing

You hired a controller to control, and they're coding expenses. We take the transactional layer so your expensive person does expensive work.

What you get

A complete finance function, not a person

A single monthly fee covers the whole team — a bookkeeper on the daily work, a senior accountant owning the close, and a reviewer checking everything before it reaches you. No sick days, no notice periods, no recruitment fees.

Every day

  • Transactions coded and categorised, not left in a suspense account
  • Supplier invoices captured, matched and queued for your approval
  • Customer invoices raised and chased to your credit policy
  • Bank feeds reconciled so your cash position is real, not approximate

Every month

  • Books closed on an agreed date — typically working day 5
  • P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow statement, reviewed before delivery
  • A short written commentary on what moved and why
  • Payroll processed and statutory submissions filed on time

Every quarter

  • VAT, GST/HST, BAS or sales tax prepared and filed
  • Budget versus actual with variance explanations
  • Rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast updated
  • A call with your engagement lead to review what's working

Every year

  • Year-end file prepared for your accountant or auditor
  • Lead schedules and supporting evidence collated in advance
  • Audit or review queries answered within 24 hours
  • Fee band reviewed against actual volumes — up or down

What we don't do

We don't sign your statutory accounts, file your tax return as agent, or give you tax or legal advice — those need a licensed practitioner in your jurisdiction. If you don't have one, we'll happily introduce you to firms we work with. Everything up to that point is ours, and we'll make their job cheaper by handing them a clean file.

Business FAQ

What companies ask first

Do we still need an accountant?

For signing statutory accounts and filing tax returns as your agent, yes — that requires a licensed practitioner in your jurisdiction, and we are not that. What changes is what you pay them for. Instead of paying practice rates to clean up twelve months of bookkeeping, you hand them a reconciled file and pay for the compliance sign-off only. Most clients find their accountancy fee falls as a result.

Who owns our data and accounting file?

You do, entirely, at all times. We work inside your subscription — your Xero or QuickBooks account, your bank feeds, under a named user login we can be removed from at any moment. Nothing is held in a proprietary system you would have to extract from, and there is no scenario where leaving us costs you access to your own records.

How do we communicate day to day?

A shared Slack or Teams channel with your named engagement lead, not a ticket portal or a generic inbox. You know who is doing your work and you can message them directly. Queries are batched into a weekly list where they can wait, and raised immediately where they cannot.

What about approving payments?

You keep payment authority, always. We prepare the payment run, match it to invoices and approvals, and hand it to you to release. We never hold banking credentials with transaction rights — it protects you and it protects us.

We're a startup with barely any transactions. Are we too small?

Possibly. Below roughly 50 transactions a month, decent software and an hour of your own time each week is genuinely cheaper than any provider, and we will tell you so on the call. Come back when the volume or the entity count makes it painful — that is when we add value.

Can you work with our existing bookkeeper?

Yes. A common arrangement is that we take the processing volume and your existing person moves to oversight and business-partnering, which is usually the part they are best at and enjoy most. We will design the split with them, not around them.
