Accountforme was founded by practising accountants who ran out of capacity before they ran out of clients. The problem was never demand — it was finding qualified people who could work to a firm’s standard without a year of training.
What we believe about outsourcing
Most offshore accounting fails for one of three reasons: the work was never documented, the people were under-qualified for what was actually asked, or nobody reviewed the output before it reached the client. All three are solvable, and none of them are solved by a lower hourly rate.
So we do the unglamorous things. We document the process before we take it. We hire qualified accountants and pay them enough to stay. And we review everything twice, because the second review costs us an hour and costs you a client.
We also tell clients when outsourcing is the wrong answer. If a process is undocumented, judgement-heavy and owned by one person who’s about to retire, sending it overseas will not fix it. Fixing it first, then sending it, will.
